Guan Yin or Guanshiyin is Chinese for "Contemplates world's sounds." Bodhisattva is an "Enlightened being who enlightens others."  So she is the "Enlightened One Who Contemplates the Worlds Sound." You may also know her as Our Lady of Guadalupe or Saint Mary. Pray to her and she will respond.
